🔍 WHAT TO CHECK
1️⃣
Photo Match: Does the person in front of you match the photo? Consider age, weight changes, glasses, facial hair.
2️⃣
Name Match: Does the name on ID match the document EXACTLY? Watch for Jr./Sr., middle names, maiden names.
3️⃣
Expiration Date: Is the ID currently valid? Check the expiration date carefully.
4️⃣
Security Features: Look for holograms, microprinting, UV features. Does it feel legitimate?
5️⃣
Signs of Tampering: Check for altered photos, scratched-off info, peeling laminate.

💡 WHEN IN DOUBT
- • Ask for a second form of ID

- • Document your concerns in your journal
- • It's better to refuse than to notarize fraudulently
